7 Day Migration Safari. (Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Serengeti).

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha Airport), where you will meet your guide. After a brief introduction, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic parks known for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you’ll spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, and numerous bird species.

    • Arrival at Arusha and transfer to Tarangire.
    • Game drive in Tarangire National Park, known for elephants and baobab trees.
    • Bird watching and spotting other wildlife such as zebras and wildebeests.
  • Overnight: Stay at a comfortable lodge or camp near Tarangire.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart for the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. This massive volcanic caldera is home to a wide range of wildlife, including the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos). After descending into the crater, you will spend the day game driving, witnessing an incredible density of animals in this “natural zoo.”

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Today, you’ll make your way to Serengeti National Park, home to the world-famous Great Migration. The journey offers beautiful landscapes, and you will enjoy a game drive en route. Depending on the time of year, the Serengeti’s vast plains are home to hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles making their annual trek in search of fresh grazing.

    • Drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti with scenic views.
    • Afternoon game drive in Serengeti’s endless plains.
    • Begin your search for migration herds, predators, and other wildlife.
  • Overnight: Stay at a comfortable lodge or camp in Serengeti.

Day 4-5: Full Days in Serengeti – Witnessing the Migration

The next two days will be dedicated to exploring the Serengeti National Park and its wildlife. Depending on the season, you will have the chance to see the Great Migration in full swing, where millions of wildebeest and zebras are on the move. The Serengeti is also home to abundant predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, all of which are drawn to the migrating herds. Your game drives will be focused on tracking the migration and its dramatic interactions with the predators.

  • Highlights:
    • Witness the dramatic scenes of the Great Migration.
    • Spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.
    • Explore the diverse habitats within the Serengeti, from riverine forests to open plains.
    • Visit the Seronera River area, where many of the animals gather to drink and cross rivers.
  • Overnight: Stay in a Serengeti lodge or luxury tented camp.

Day 6: Serengeti to Tarangire – Exploring More Wildlife

After a morning game drive in Serengeti, you’ll drive back to Tarangire National Park for another chance to witness Tanzania’s wildlife. Depending on the time of year, Tarangire might offer an entirely different experience from your earlier visit, with seasonal changes bringing different animals to the park. You’ll get another opportunity to spot elephants, buffaloes, and more, plus you might enjoy a visit to the Tarangire River, where wildlife congregates for water.

  • Highlights:
    • Morning game drive in Serengeti before heading to Tarangire.
    • Afternoon game drive in Tarangire, focusing on elephants and unique landscapes.
    • Relax by the river, watching animals as they drink.
  • Overnight: Stay at a comfortable lodge or tented camp in Tarangire.

Rates include:

  • Customized Private Safari jeep 4×4 Toyota land cruiser with full-length photographic open roof and all clients are guaranteed window seats. Or 4×4 Open Land Cruiser or Land Rover if requested.
  • All services of a trained and experienced English speaking driver guide.
  • Serengeti or Ngorongoro National park entry fees.
  • Game drives as per the Itinerary.
  • All meals and accommodations during safari. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
  • Bottle of water per day.
  • Transfers to and from the Airport.
