Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park – The Adventure Begins

Your 4-day Kenya safari begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi and a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey takes around 3-4 hours, and as you approach the park, you’ll begin to spot wildlife along the way.

Lake Nakuru is known for its beautiful landscapes and vast flocks of flamingos that gather around the lake’s shores, giving the park its “pink lake” nickname. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including rhinoceroses, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, and an array of bird species.

Upon arrival, you will embark on an afternoon game drive, where you can explore the park’s diverse habitats, from the lakeshore to the surrounding savannah. After your game drive, check into your luxury lodge or camp within or near the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara – The Heart of Safari Adventure

After breakfast, you will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserves. The journey takes around 5-6 hours, offering scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. Upon arrival, check into your luxury safari lodge or tented camp.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy your first game drive in the Masai Mara, where you’ll be able to witness its famous landscapes of rolling hills and vast savannahs. The Mara is home to the Big Five, including lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos, as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species. Depending on the time of year, you may also be able to witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of water and food.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara – The Ultimate Safari Experience

Your expert guide will take you to the best areas of the park for game viewing, ensuring you see a variety of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hippopotamuses. You’ll also have the opportunity to witness the fascinating predator-prey dynamics, as well as the diverse birdlife of the Mara.

During the day, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the reserve, surrounded by nature. After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation, reflecting on the incredible wildlife encounters of the day.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi – A Final Game Drive and Departure

On your final day, you’ll have an early morning game drive in the Masai Mara, where you’ll have one last opportunity to spot wildlife before heading back to Nairobi. The early morning hours are the best time to see predators like lions and leopards as they are most active at dawn.

After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast, then embark on the journey back to Nairobi. The drive takes around 5-6 hours, and you’ll arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon. Depending on your flight schedule, you can either be dropped off at the airport for your departure or at your hotel in Nairobi.
