Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Start Your Safari Adventure
Your 4-day Tanzania budget safari begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha, the safari hub of Tanzania. After a short briefing, you’ll head out on a scenic 2-3 hour drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and striking baobab trees.
Upon arrival, you’ll go on your first game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. Tarangire is a haven for wildlife, and with fewer crowds compared to other parks, you can enjoy a more intimate safari experience. After an exciting day of game viewing, head to a budget-friendly lodge or campsite for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater – Explore the Eighth Wonder of the World
After breakfast, you’ll set off on a journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most unique wildlife destinations in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” due to its stunning natural beauty and the abundance of wildlife that resides in this collapsed volcanic caldera.
Once you arrive, you’ll descend into the crater for a half-day game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos—as well as flamingos, gazelles, and wildebeests. The fertile environment of the crater floor makes it a hotspot for wildlife, and your expert guide will take you to the best spots for animal sightings.
After a thrilling day in the crater, return to a budget-friendly lodge or camp near Ngorongoro for a restful evening.

Day 3: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park – Witness Africa’s Wild Heart
On Day 3, you’ll head to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most famous wildlife destination. Known for its vast savannahs and incredible wildlife, the Serengeti is home to the Great Migration (depending on the season) and offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world.
You’ll spend the day exploring the Serengeti, looking for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and a variety of herbivores such as wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. The Serengeti’s vast open plains create the perfect setting for game drives, and your guide will ensure you get the most out of your experience.
After your game drive, head to your budget-friendly accommodation in or near Serengeti National Park, where you can enjoy a peaceful night under the African stars.

After your morning game drive, you’ll return to your lodge for breakfast before embarking on the drive back to Arusha, where you’ll arrive in the afternoon. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore the city or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs before your departure.
