Day 0: Arrival Day

On your arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport, you will be warmly greeted by our office representative. You’ll then be transferred to your lodge for an overnight stay, allowing you to rest and prepare for the 4-day Budget Safari in Tanzania ahead.

Day 1: To Tarangire or Manyara

After an early breakfast, you will depart from Arusha and embark on a scenic drive to either Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara National Park. The journey will take approximately two hours to reach the park entry gate.

Tarangire National Park:
Known as the “Home of Elephants,” your safari will commence with a photography session at the main gate. Look out for impalas, giraffes, and zebras as you enter the park. Your guide will lead you to the Tarangire River, where you’ll have a chance to see large herds of elephants gathering at the water’s edge. Enjoy a thrilling game drive as you explore the park’s diverse wildlife.

Lake Manyara National Park:
If you choose Lake Manyara, your safari will start with the enchanting sight of primates in the trees near the entry gate. This park, though smaller, is renowned for its unique beauty and the elusive tree-climbing lions. As you continue, you’ll observe elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and a myriad of bird species, making it a paradise for bird watchers.

After a morning of exploration, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot overlooking either the Tarangire River or the shores of Lake Manyara. In the afternoon, continue your game drive before heading to Karatu for dinner and a restful night.

Day 2: To Serengeti via Ngorongoro

Following an early breakfast, you will set off for the legendary Serengeti National Park, packed with a delicious lunch to enjoy along the way. The first leg of your journey takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint, just an hour away, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and learn about this unique ecosystem.

As you continue, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings during your drive through Ngorongoro. After approximately 2.5 hours of travel, you will stop for a delightful picnic lunch under the shade of a tree before exiting Ngorongoro and entering the vast Serengeti.

Upon entering the Serengeti, your game drive begins immediately. The drive to central Serengeti is approximately 45 km, allowing you to experience the rich diversity of wildlife that inhabits this famous park. By late afternoon, you will arrive at your tented camp for the night, where you can unwind and reflect on your exciting day.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Your day begins early with breakfast, followed by a thrilling 6-hour game drive in the Serengeti, renowned for its vast plains and abundant wildlife. This is the perfect opportunity to spot iconic predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as a variety of herbivores.

After a morning filled with wildlife viewing, you will stop for a picnic lunch amidst the stunning landscapes of the Serengeti. Following lunch, you’ll continue your journey toward Ngorongoro. As you exit the Serengeti and re-enter Ngorongoro, you will arrive at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge in the late afternoon for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

On your final day, you will enjoy an early breakfast before descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its incredible wildlife diversity. As you explore the crater floor, keep an eye out for the Big Five: lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephants, and buffaloes.

At Magadi Lake, you might be lucky enough to see beautiful flamingos and various waterbirds. The Lerai Forest, home to baboons and monkeys, offers a chance to see even more wildlife. After a delightful picnic lunch at a scenic spot where you may spot hippos, you will embark on an on-route game drive as you ascend the crater.
