Day 1: Arrival in Arusha and Departure to Tarangire National Park
Arriving in Arusha
Your journey starts in Arusha, a charming city located in northern Tanzania. Arusha is the gateway to many of Tanzania’s national parks and wildlife reserves. After arriving, you’ll meet your safari guide who will brief you on the itinerary and safety protocols.
First Stop: Tarangire National Park
On the first day, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, known for its impressive elephant population and scenic landscapes. Tarangire’s distinct features include ancient baobab trees and seasonal swamps that attract numerous animals.
- Wildlife: Expect to see herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, and a variety of bird species.
- Accommodation: Budget campsites and lodges are available just outside the park, offering comfortable accommodations at a fraction of the cost.

- Afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park.
- Sundowner drinks with a view of the Tarangire River.
Day 2: Exploring Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater
On the second day, you’ll head to one of the most iconic destinations in Africa: the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a collapsed volcanic caldera, and it is one of the richest wildlife areas in the world.
- Wildlife: You can expect to see a variety of animals, including lions, rhinos, buffaloes, wildebeest, and many more. The crater is particularly famous for its population of black rhinos.
- Accommodation: There are several budget-friendly lodges near the crater rim, offering incredible views.
Activities:
- Early morning descent into the crater for a full-day game drive.
- Visit the Maasai villages near the crater rim for a cultural experience.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
On the Way to the Serengeti
After breakfast, the next leg of your adventure takes you to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is known for its massive annual wildebeest migration and is home to a vast range of wildlife.
- Wildlife: Expect to encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, as well as predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
- Accommodation: There are plenty of budget campsites and lodges within or near the Serengeti.
Activities:
- Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti.
- Evening at a campfire under the stars, enjoying the sounds of the wild.
Day 4: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti
Exploring the Serengeti’s Rich Ecosystem
Serengeti’s expansive plains are home to numerous animals, making this a perfect location for a full-day game drive.
- Wildlife: Lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, and a myriad of bird species. The Serengeti is also famous for its big cats, particularly lions and leopards.
- Accommodation: Budget-friendly accommodations include mobile camps or simple lodges offering comfort without the hefty price tag.
Activities:
- Morning and afternoon game drives across different parts of the Serengeti, including a visit to the Seronera area, known for predator sightings.
- Visit a local Maasai village for a cultural immersion.
Day 5: Return to Arusha
The Journey Back to Arusha
On the final day, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you can opt for a short game drive on the way out of Serengeti to catch a glimpse of any animals you may have missed.
Departure
You’ll arrive back in Arusha in the late afternoon or evening, and your safari ends here. If you have a flight to catch, the guide will ensure you’re dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
Rates include:
- Customized Private Safari jeep 4×4 Toyota land cruiser with full-length photographic open roof and all clients are guaranteed window seats. Or 4×4 Open Land Cruiser or Land Rover if requested.
- All services of a trained and experienced English speaking driver guide.
- Serengeti or Ngorongoro National park entry fees.
- Game drives as per the Itinerary.
- All meals and accommodations during safari. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
- Bottle of water per day.
- Transfers to and from the Airport.
- Government taxes.
