Day 1: Arrival in Uganda and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your 5-day Uganda safari begins as you land in Entebbe International Airport. After a warm welcome from your guide, you will embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey offers stunning views of the Ugandan countryside, with opportunities to spot local wildlife along the way. Check-in at your lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Prepare for an unforgettable experience: gorilla trekking in the dense, misty forest of Bwindi. Your guide will lead you through the wilderness, where you will encounter the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. As you trek through the forest, you’ll get to observe these intelligent creatures up close. The trek can be challenging, but the reward of seeing gorillas in the wild is truly priceless.
After your trek, spend some time with a local community, learning about the efforts to protect these magnificent creatures and the surrounding environment. Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzee Trekking
On day three, you’ll travel to Kibale National Park, known for its large population of chimpanzees. The drive takes you through beautiful landscapes and offers glimpses of rural Uganda. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation near the park.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
Today’s highlight is chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. This park is a haven for primate lovers, and you will have the chance to observe chimpanzees in their natural environment. As you trek through the forest, your guide will explain the behavior and social structure of chimpanzees, one of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom. The trek may take several hours, but the opportunity to see chimps in the wild is an experience like no other.
In the afternoon, take a nature walk in the forest or visit a nearby village to experience the local culture.
Day 5: Return to Entebbe for Departure
On your final day, enjoy a scenic drive back to Entebbe. Depending on your flight time, you may have the opportunity to visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Center or take a boat trip on Lake Victoria. Your guide will ensure you arrive at the airport in plenty of time for your international flight home.
