Day 0: Arrival Day

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport, you will meet the office representative and transfer to your lodge for an overnight stay before the safari begins the next day.

Day 1: To Tarangire

Depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately a two-hour drive to the park entry gate. Known as the home of elephants, the safari game drive starts at the main gate, where you’ll observe impalas, giraffes, zebras, and more. Your guide will lead you to the Tarangire River, commonly inhabited by elephants. Enjoy a game drive until the afternoon, followed by lunch at a picnic site overlooking the Tarangire River. Continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Bougainvillea or similar.

Day 2: To Serengeti via Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, head to Ngorongoro Crater, checking in at the gate before descending 600 meters to the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is a self-sufficient ecosystem and home to carnivores, antelopes, and herbivores. You might see the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes. At Magadi Lake, you’ll find water birds like flamingoes, herons, and pelicans. The Lerai Forest hosts baboons, monkeys, elephants, bushbucks, waterbucks, and leopards. After lunch at a picnic site near the hippos, enjoy an en-route game drive before ascending and driving to Serengeti.

Day 3: Serengeti

Enjoy a full day of animal viewing and their habits. Coordinate lunch plans with your guide, either a picnic or a return to the camp for a hot lunch. Continue with afternoon and evening game drives before returning to the camp for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti

After a picnic lunch, drive with an en-route game drive to Ngorongoro, exiting and entering through the same gate, and head to Karatu for an overnight stay at Bougainvillea Lodge.

Day 7: Manyara to Arusha

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the lake shore, a great spot for bird watchers. In the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha or the airport for departure.
