8-Day Kenya and Tanzania Mid-Range Safari – Big Five Experience
Day 1 : Nairobi to Nakuru.
After your breakfast in the morning, you driver guide will be on time around 7:30am, will pick-up you and drive to lake Nakuru national park, almost two and half hours drive to reach the entry gate of the park, after all registration start your game drive, picnic lunch in the park, lake Nakuru famous for its water birds such as flamingoes, pelicans and much more. It is home of white rhinoceros and if lucky will see lions on tree, antelopes and other animals are found in this beautifully park. Late afternoon drive to your selected accommodation for overnight.
Day 2: Nakuru to masai mara.
On this day depend on your accommodation area, if you stayed inside the park, you will have an early game drive, then back to the lodge for breakfast, after breakfast, check out from the lodge and drive to masai mara game reserve.
Day 3 Masai Mara Game Reserve
On this day go for an early morning game drive, A morning game drive may find active carnivores and experience the sunrise of Masai mara. On this day you will have the option of a balloon ride in the sky of the wilderness.
Back to the lodge for a late breakfast and a little relaxation. Afternoon go with a packed lunch in order to get much time to experience the area of Masai Mara. Thereafter back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning, have your breakfast, and drive with a packed lunch to Serengeti National Park.
On arrival at the border, after all migration formalities, exchange vehicles and drivers. Start heading to Serengeti National Park which will take about four hours to reach the entry gate. After entrance have a game drive on route heading to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Serengeti National Park
Today you will have a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. Go with a packed lunch to get much time experience and drive long distances searching for the rest big cats and the big five. Also, the game drive will depend on animal sightseen such as migration animals, therefore this day is nice for searching migration allocation. Lunch will be in the wilderness at a designed picnic site. Again afternoon will have another game drive before driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti and experience the wilderness of Africa and the endless plain of Serengeti. An early morning drive is the best time to find the animals. Look for the rest of the Big Five animals. A leopard can usually be found on an acacia or sausage tree near the Seronera Rivier. Serengeti is famous for its annual wildebeest migration, big cats, and vast area of about 14,500 sq. km.
Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater
You will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive, Ngorongoro Crater is a self-dependent ecosystem, the area formed about 3 million years ago due to volcanic activities, and several animals are found in this beautiful area. The crater is small but very unique, you will descend 600 meters to reach the crater floor. Late afternoon descend and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 Mto wa Mbu – Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive back to Arusha via Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural tour if time allows. Experience the local people’s lifestyle including local food, biking, and walking with the villagers. Late in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha or transfer to the airport. This marks the end of your adventure trip.
