Day 1: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut (2,514 meters)
Your adventure begins at Momella Gate, where you will meet your guide and porters. Along the way, you’ll pass through diverse vegetation, with the possibility of spotting giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of birds.

Day 3: Saddle Hut to Summit and Descent to Miriakamba Hut
Day 3 is the most challenging yet rewarding part of the trek. You’ll begin your climb to the summit of Mount Meru early in the morning, often around 2:00 AM, to reach the peak in time for sunrise. The trek to the summit requires more strenuous hiking, with sections where you will need to use chains and ropes to assist your ascent.
