Day 1 – Arrival and Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Your journey starts with a morning pick-up in Arusha. After a short briefing, you’ll embark on a scenic drive towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. En route, you’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you might spot wildlife even before entering the Serengeti.
Upon arrival, enjoy your first thrilling game drive. Expect to see vast plains teeming with wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and maybe even a predator on the hunt. By evening, you’ll head to a budget campsite or lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 2 – Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti
An early morning start gives you the best chance to spot Serengeti’s famous predators—lions, cheetahs, and leopards—active before the heat of the day. Your experienced guide will take you deep into the park, where you’ll witness an incredible variety of animals roaming freely.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. As the sun sets, return to your budget camp for a relaxing evening under the African sky.
Day 3 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After another sunrise safari in Serengeti, you’ll begin your journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive is an opportunity to see more wildlife and enjoy the changing landscapes.
En route, you may visit a Maasai village to learn about their fascinating culture and traditions (optional). By evening, you’ll arrive near the crater rim for an overnight stay in a budget-friendly campsite or lodge.
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater Exploration
Wake up early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater—one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. The crater is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) and a variety of other species.
A picnic lunch by the hippo pool offers a relaxing break before continuing your game drive. By late afternoon, you’ll ascend from the crater and head toward Lake Manyara for your final overnight stay.
Day 5 – Lake Manyara National Park and Departure
Your final day starts with a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife, this park offers a unique safari experience.
After spotting flamingos, elephants, and baboons, you’ll return to Arusha for drop-off, marking the end of your incredible 5-day budget safari.
