Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam
Your adventure begins with your arrival in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city. You’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to a comfortable hotel to relax after your journey. If time allows, explore the city’s markets and beaches.
Day 2: Transfer to Nyerere National Park
Take a scenic flight or a road trip to Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest game reserves. Enjoy your first game drive upon arrival, spotting elephants, lions, and giraffes.
Day 3: Full-Day Safari in Nyerere National Park
Spend the day on a game drive through the vast savannah, followed by a boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife.
Day 4: Walking Safari and Cultural Visit
Start the morning with a guided walking safari, an exciting way to experience the bush up close. Later, visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditions and way of life.
Day 5: Transfer to Mikumi National Park
Travel to Mikumi, a park often compared to the Serengeti for its open plains and abundant wildlife. Enjoy an evening game drive.
Day 6: Full-Day Safari in Mikumi
Explore Mikumi’s diverse habitats, where you can spot lions, zebras, buffaloes, and numerous bird species.
Day 7: Journey to Ruaha National Park
A scenic drive takes you to Ruaha, Tanzania’s largest national park. After arrival, unwind at your lodge and soak in the beauty of the wilderness.
Days 8 & 9: Exploring Ruaha National Park
Enjoy two full days of game drives in Ruaha, famous for its large elephant and predator populations, including leopards, lions, and rare African wild dogs.
Day 10: Flight to Udzungwa Mountains
Fly to Udzungwa Mountains, a completely different environment with rainforests, waterfalls, and rich biodiversity.
Day 11: Hiking and Wildlife in Udzungwa
Trek to the breathtaking Sanje Waterfalls and look for endemic monkeys and rare birds.
Day 12: Return to Dar es Salaam & Departure
After breakfast, transfer back to Dar es Salaam for your departure flight, concluding an unforgettable safari.
